Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Packaging, Industrial Design, or equivalent.
  • Strong computer-aided design skills using Creo and SolidWorks, including technical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and tolerance analysis.
  • Familiarity with machining, welding, and injection molding manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of aluminum, steel, composites, and foam materials.
  • Experience designing to ASTM and Mil-Spec standards.
  • Strong understanding of packaging testing and validation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality results.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end engineered packaging projects for Vehicle and Energy platforms.
  • Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, New Product Introduction, and Operations teams to gather and develop packaging requirements.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Logistics to enable efficient delivery of parts without compromising quality.
  • Provide design direction for protective packaging containers, dunnage, and domestic and international shipping racks.
  • Apply computer-aided design and technical design methods, including datum structure, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and drive packaging standards and continuous improvement.
  • Manage expendable-to-returnable packaging projects and sustainability initiatives.
  • Oversee project budgets, risks, vendor selection, and change management.
