The People Operations HRIS Analyst role is part of our growing People and Culture team, supporting our People Operations function, to help support our business and employees in innovative, forward-thinking ways. Position Overview
As the People Operations HRIS Analyst, you’ll be a key member of our People Culture team, responsible for managing and optimizing our human resources support systems from a strategic and analytical standpoint. Acting as the primary technical resource for the team, you’ll simplify complex data and system processes, create supportive technical system tools, employee data dashboards, and ensure technical system operations run smoothly. The HRIS Analyst thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to change, and offers strategic input on key projects. While this is an individual contributor role, you’ll lead initiatives and provide critical expertise to help drive technical innovation and support within the team.
Primary Responsibilities
- System Analysis & Requirements Translation: Gather, analyze, and translate complex data and systems functionality based on business needs, into functional and detailed technical specifications for HRIS configurations, system enhancements, custom solutions and data integrity.
- System Architecture & Integration: Build and develop the backend of the HRIS to align with business requirements and changes, ensuring smooth integrations with other systems. Focus on optimizing automation, scalability, and performance. Implement APIs and data exchange tools to enable seamless communication between multi system platforms, ensuring data accuracy and improving workflows. Streamline data processes to enhance system compatibility, user experience, and overall efficiency.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support for HRIS, including diagnosing and resolving system errors, data discrepancies, and process inefficiencies. Utilize debugging techniques and log analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
- Automation & Reporting: Design and implement automated employee data reports and dashboards using SQL, Python, or Tableau to meet diverse business needs. Streamline report generation processes by integrating data across multiple HRIS and financial systems.
- Compliance Data Integrity Audits & Validation: Establish and execute rigorous data validation protocols to ensure HRIS data integrity. Lead periodic audits of system processes to ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies. Implement necessary adjustments to maintain continuous adherence to regulatory standards including federal, state, and local regulations, to ensure compliance and support company-wide expansion.
- Data Analysis & Presentation: Perform advanced analytics on large, complex data sets using SQL, ETL processes, and data visualization tools. Develop meaningful insights and deliver actionable recommendations to HR and business leaders.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, finance, and analytics teams to align people data with broader business metrics. Leverage API integrations and third-party tools to automate cross-system data syncing and ensure cohesive data flows.
- Vendor & System Evaluations: Conduct technical evaluations and gap analyses of current and potential HRIS vendors. Oversee implementation efforts and ensure alignment with business objectives and system requirements.
- Lead Technical Resource for HRIS Transition: Act as the key technical expert for migrating data from multiple legacy systems to a new HRIS. Manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring accuracy and integrity. Collaborate with teams to map data, streamline integration, and resolve technical challenges, optimizing the new HRIS for business needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of HRIS experience with strong technical expertise, particularly in system configuration, integration, and data management within high-growth environments
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, ETL processes, and experience working with APIs and 3rd party integrations
- Experience with HRIS implementations and working knowledge of key modules, including Performance Management, Benefits, Compensation, and Core HR
- High-level data analytics skills with experience using reporting tools including Tableau and Python to develop interactive dashboards and custom reports
- Strong understanding of data movement and transformation processes across large-scale human resources platforms
- Working knowledge of people operations, with a focus on leveraging technology to optimize HR processes
- Strong organizational and time management skills

This role is primarily remote, but candidates must be available to travel to our main office in Long Island, New York, as needed for specific projects, team-building events, or important meetings. Occasional on-site presence may also be required for training sessions or critical business initiatives.

At FreedomCare, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $90,000 and $100,000 per year at the commencement of your first year of employment. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
