David Zwirner Los Angeles is seeking a highly motivated Registration Intern for our Internship Program.
Qualified candidates should be diligent, motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong interest in gaining experience in gallery operations. A working knowledge of artist materials and media is necessary. Previous experience at a gallery or museum is a plus.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Assist with inventory and updating records.
- Learn best practices regarding registration and help create a registration training manual.
- Assist with artwork inventory location tracking in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain ongoing department project of digitizing shipping documents.
- General departmental meeting planning and administrative support, as needed.
- Organize, edit and upload Condition Reports files in our database.
- Assists with project-base inventory spreadsheets.
- Create artwork labels for frames and crates.
- Internal exhibition, outside venue and art fair-related preparations including organizing lists and spreadsheets, obtaining estimates for display needs, assisting with budget reconciling.
This internship runs from September to December 2024. Position hours are 3 full days per week, from 10AM – 6PM, Monday through Saturday, with additional hours for occasional events and openings. Intern will be paid City of Los Angeles minimum wage of $17.28/hour. Only qualified candidates will be contacted. Absolutely no calls or walk-ins please.
