Requirements
  • A Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program is required.
  • An active Indiana optometry license is required.
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills are required.
  • The candidate must be comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments.
  • The candidate must be available for 3–4 days per month, on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, typically from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • The role has no nights, weekends, billing, or administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within the scope of practice.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team.
  • Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience treating senior populations is preferred.
