Requirements
  • Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Radiology
  • License to practice medicine in the state of Florida (Florida Medical License or University Medical Faculty Certificate)
  • Specialized expertise in brachytherapy and management of gynecologic malignancies
  • Demonstrated clinical experience and academic interest in gynecologic cancers and advanced brachytherapy techniques (including intracavitary, interstitial, and hybrid approaches)
  • Ability to participate in department academic and educational activities (teaching conferences, morbidity and mortality conference, weekly new patient conference, retreats) and participation in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Participation in department quality improvement activities and familiarity with department procedures and policies; familiarity with University faculty manual
  • Full-time faculty position; be part of UMG Medical Group (UMMG)
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate care with other services and relevant sites in the UHealth network as part of disease site multidisciplinary teams
  • Active participation in department academic and educational activities including morning teaching conferences, morbidity and mortality conference, weekly new patient conference, and departmental and cancer center retreats
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows; give at least one department grand rounds yearly and lecture residents twice during the year
  • Report progress of research projects regularly; potential start-up support and protected time for research for physician scientists
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and adhere to department procedures and policies
  • Assist in expanding the brachytherapy program into other disease sites depending on interests and experience
  • Maintain familiarity with the University faculty manual and comply with department policies
  • Coordinate care with other clinical services and sites in the UHealth network
