Requirements
  • ARDMS in OB/GYN required
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification
  • Diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited medical sonography program
  • At least one to two years of experience in a relevant role; experience in women's health is required; experience in fertility is strongly preferred
  • Two to three years of undergraduate education or equivalent
  • Must be willing to learn ultrasound guidance for surgical procedures
Responsibilities
  • Recognize and record appropriate anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment
  • Provide sonogram and oral or written summary of technical findings to physician for use in medical diagnosis
  • Act to ensure the continuity of care through effective interactions with other departments
  • Monitor supply stock to ensure adequate reserve
  • Perform preventative maintenance on ultrasound and medical equipment, troubleshoots malfunctions, and promptly reports deficiencies to management
  • Adhere to all standards, policies and procedures associated with safety, sanitation, confidentiality, and company operation
