Senior SAP Basis Consultant

We at Engineering Industries eXcellence are looking for a Senior SAP Basis Consultant who will be responsible for managing the overall SAP system landscape, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and security of SAP environments. This role involves administration, installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting of SAP systems while working closely with technical and functional teams to support business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Basis administration activities including system installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, and related components.

• Manage and monitor SAP system performance, tuning, and capacity planning.

• Execute SAP system upgrades, patches, and kernel updates.

• Manage transport management system (CTS) and coordinate transports between development, QA, and production environments.

• Implement SAP security including roles and authorizations, single sign-on (SSO), and system audit.

• Perform backup and recovery procedures, disaster recovery planning, and system refreshes.

• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Basis-related incidents and provide technical support for SAP users.

• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth system operations.

• Implement and maintain SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and landscape management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations concerning SAP systems.

• Mentor and guide junior SAP Basis consultants and support staff.

• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

• Participate in on-call rotation for SAP Basis support as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and support.

• Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture and SAP modules.

• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Solution Manager.

• Proficient in SAP system installation, configuration, upgrades, and migration.

• Experience with database administration for Oracle, SQL Server, or HANA.

• Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows.

• Experience with SAP security, user administration, and Single Sign-On (SSO).

• Knowledge of SAP transport management system and change management.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• SAP Basis certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with cloud SAP environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (Shell, Python).

• Familiarity with monitoring tools like SAP Focused Run or third-party solutions. • Experience in agile environments and working with DevOps teams
