GLOBAL ATLANTIC’S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Global Atlantic offers an immersive 10 week summer internship program that allows students to learn critical skills in a business setting. Our program runs from June 3, 2024 to August 9, 2024. We offer Executive Business Overviews, Networking Challenges, Social Events, interaction with senior leaders, meaningful work and so much more. POSITION OVERVIEW

The Intern will support the Regulatory & Government Affairs (“RGA”) function. This individual will report to the Regulatory & Government Affairs Associate based in New York and work closely with the SVP, Head of Regulatory & Government Affairs, VP of Regulatory Actuarial Policy and with other members of the Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, and Internal Audit (“LCRIA”) teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in tracking, understanding and summarizing proposed legislation and regulations impacting the insurance industry generally and Global Atlantic specifically
Assist in developing decks, drafting talking points, conducting research and synthesizing complex information for senior executives
Cover and summarize trade association meetings, law firm educational sessions, calls with regulatory consultants and the Company’s bipartisan lobbying firm
Other activities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & NECESSARY SKILLS:

Be enrolled in a Master’s program or Law School (1st year)
Team player and effective communicator both written and oral
Candidate must be detail orientated with strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information and use business judgment
Ability to work in a high energy environment and independently design and complete projects as well as collaborate with and support senior management
Highly skilled with respect to Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Bachelor’s Degree in public policy, international relations, finance or a related field a plus

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications.

Global Atlantic’s Intern Salary is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. The Intern Salary is based on yearly compensation and will be paid for 10 weeks during the program. Intern Salary is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for interns. Other rewards may include an intern cash stipend, employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions, and branded gifts. The Intern Salary for this role is $90,000.

Global Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes. Future adjustments may include obtaining specific licenses or certifications to comply with operational needs and conform to applicable industry-specific regulatory requirements, state and federal laws.
