Requirements

  • Strong experience of the Pensions Industry, either as a Senior Scheme Administrator or Business Analyst experienced in capturing requirements for Pensions IT Projects and subsequently supervising (on large projects) or developing and testing (smaller projects) Pensions Systems Changes, such as scheme calculation changes.
Responsibilities
  • Undertake analysis on new pensions projects and/or enhancements to existing projects.
  • Analyse changes and enhancements to client’s pensions schemes by taking a view of their impact on the company’s software as installed for the client.
  • Analyse the impact of legislation changes to a client’s pensions system functionality, providing advice and guidance on the integration of new legislative software modules released by the company.
  • Interpret and implement legislative changes making use of senior consultant advice where necessary.
  • Design the proposed solution prior to the onset of any coding to ensure; It fulfils the business requirements, it makes best use of existing code instead of re-inventing the wheel and adheres to technical best practice
  • Undertake the development of, and continuous improvements to, an appropriate methodology for the construction of pensions calculations to optimise delivery.
  • Liaise and provide guidance to clients on the production of appropriate test data and results.
  • Produce user and pensions systems documentation as required and agreed. Where adherence to a client’s standards and procedures is determined within the contractual terms of a project, to ensure that documentation is produced, approved and issued in accordance with those requirements.
  • Provide support and consultancy to clients, including telephone support and site visits.
  • Ensure successful application of best practice plus all defined policies and procedures, identifying, where appropriate, any deficiencies in, or opportunities for improvement to them.
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables from staff.
  • Identify and nurture individual staff development and training within the scope of the supervisory responsibility. Taking into consideration the best fit with Company direction and annual budget.
Desired Qualifications
  • Educated to degree standard preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications in the Pensions Industry desirable (e.g. Pensions Management Institute Certification).
  • UML Certification via ITSQB/ISEB or OMG desirable but not essential.
