Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients with abnormal imaging results or cancer diagnoses, guiding them through the healthcare system.
  • Coordinate scheduling for diagnostic imaging, biopsies, consultations, and surgical procedures.
  • Review relevant medical and surgical history with patients and communicate its relevance to their ongoing surgical evaluation.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, surgeons, and the primary care team.
  • Facilitate interaction and communication with healthcare staff and providers to ensure the proper workup is completed.
  • Track patient progress, interventions, and outcomes to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Maintain and assist with obtaining outside images.
  • Educate patients and families about breast imaging findings, procedures, and treatment options.
  • Assist in identifying high-risk patients and refer them to appropriate specialty clinics.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews.
  • Build relationships with internal departments, including radiology, social services, and rehabilitation, and with external providers.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and data analysis related to patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of patient care pathways and protocols.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Breast Health Navigator Certification is preferred.
  • Three to five years of clinical nursing experience in women's health or breast care is preferred.

Beth Israel Lahey Health rolls out Heidi's AI scribing to all physicians after 90% report better patient presence

Beth Israel Lahey Health is rolling out Heidi's ambient AI scribing tool to all its physicians following a successful trial across its facilities. The health system, which serves over 6,000 providers across 14 hospitals and 175 primary care practices, prioritises addressing physician burnout, with nearly half of US physicians reporting burnout. During a six-month trial offering Heidi to 1,000 providers, the majority adopted the technology. Survey results showed 89% were satisfied with note quality, 90% felt more present with patients, 74% reduced after-hours work time, and 82% experienced reduced cognitive load during visits. The implementation demonstrates how ambient AI can deliver immediate relief to physicians whilst benefiting patients and the healthcare system. Heidi supports over 2 million consultations weekly globally and has raised $96.6 million from investors including Point72 Private Investments and Blackbird.
