Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and five years of applicable experience are required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to identify opportunities through solo experimentation and cross-functional collaboration is required.
  • Knowledge of modeling and analytical techniques to determine trends and identify significant data relationships is required.
  • Hands-on experience querying databases, integrating disparate data, and using data analysis and visualization tools is required.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, recommend, and translate procurement operations into workflows using new and existing systems.
  • Mine data from disparate sources and interpret data.
  • Perform statistical, predictive, and optimization modeling analyses to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.
  • Prepare charts, illustrations, visualizations, and narrative reports to convey analytical findings.
  • Use technical and analytical skills to influence business strategies, improve processes, and support the identification of cost savings opportunities.
  • Collaborate with staff to define and document analysis objectives; identify required data sources and systems; design and create data-capture tools; collect, analyze, clean, and integrate data; and reconcile data inconsistencies.
  • Create business and pricing models that predict possible outcomes, assign values to possible likelihoods, and perform sensitivity analysis.
  • Identify potential supplier catalog items based on actual and projected activity.
  • Partner with senior leadership and clinicians or researchers to design and perform complex analyses and reports, including interpreting trends, pattern variations, and implications for improvement initiatives.
  • Provide competitive analysis, risk analysis, and financial impact evaluations for business units, and develop presentations for business units throughout the enterprise.
  • Complete in-depth analysis of reports and interpret results.
  • Create and coordinate the tracking and compilation of key purchasing metrics and spend research.
  • Conduct abstract data analysis and reconcile data inconsistencies to illuminate numerical data interpretation, options, trends, and patterns.
  • Develop narratives and collaborate with senior staff on plan development and dissemination across divisions.
  • Communicate with end users regarding project activities and operational updates.
  • Support the Purchase-to-Pay function, including the design and optimization of procurement operations into system workflows.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of relevant technology, equipment, and systems.
  • Provide education or training to team members on data generation or interpretation, statistical analysis, and applying analysis to decision-making when needed.
  • Create and run reports and conduct analysis to measure productivity and identify trends or patterns representing opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide feedback to department managers and directors on how effectively their areas function within measured parameters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working in a purchasing or supply chain-related function.
  • Experience with large implementations of new technologies, such as enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Certified Analytics Professional certification upon hire.
  • Certified Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute upon hire.
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt or similar certification upon hire.
