- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Meet all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for the Baptist Health unit or department.
- Maintain a current State of Alabama Registered Nurse license.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support/Healthcare Provider certification.
- Have at least one year of Registered Nurse experience.
- Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill patients, including complex assessments, high-intensity interventions, and continuous monitoring.
- Use clinical judgment and assessment data to anticipate, prioritize, and respond quickly to rapidly changing patient conditions.
- Operate and interpret specialized medical equipment and monitors, including cardiac, respiratory, and hemodynamic systems.
- Respond to emergencies with evidence-based, life-saving interventions and preplanned protocols when physicians are unavailable.
- Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, evaluate outcomes, and advocate for patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, serve in leadership or educational roles, and support unit and hospital goals.
- Coordinate care, delegate appropriately, document accurately, and ensure compliance with regulatory and evidence-based standards.
- Demonstrate compassionate, age-appropriate care while maintaining legal awareness, patient rights, and a therapeutic environment.
