Requirements
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of the Supply Chain/Logistics industry; focus on warehouse operations preferred.
  • Master’s degree (or above) in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent field
  • Experience with object-oriented programming – Python (preferred), Java or C++
  • Experience data parsing, analysis and manipulation – Python (preferred) or R
  • Strong math skills and ability to apply it to real world problems
  • Strong technical and non-technical communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated working style
  • Advanced critical thinking skills
  • Preferred coursework to include: Simulation, Programming, Operations Research (Linear/Non-linear/Integer/Dynamic Programming), Stochastic Processes, Supply Chain/Logistics/Warehousing/Transportation
  • Ability to travel (possibly internationally) up to <10%
Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define and refine solution requirements and test scenarios
  • Understand current product and process offerings and recommend innovative applications and integrations utilizing those product offerings
  • Design and develop analytical and python-based simulation models
  • Identify, root cause, and propose solutions to bottlenecks using data-driven approaches in both simulated and real-world systems
  • Improve warehouse automation performance by designing and optimizing processes
  • Validate model accuracy by comparing with real-world systems
  • Provide guidance on the application of standard solution components to design solutions that meet customer-specific needs
  • Document and communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
