AI startup speeding up Europe's air traffic software upgrades raises $5.5M seed funding

DesignVerse, an AI-powered enterprise software development startup, has raised $5.5 million in seed funding. The Bucharest-based company's platform builds complex enterprise software using organisations' own documentation and internal rules, enabling development up to five times faster than conventional methods. The company has already deployed its technology with EUROCONTROL, the pan-European aviation organisation, modernising a 15-year-old application in just over a month instead of an estimated six months. The upgraded software now underpins aviation systems supporting tens of millions of passengers annually across European airports and air traffic control operations. Founded by former Oracle product design lead Andrei Manolache and software engineer Robert Dragutoiu, DesignVerse has reached $1.1 million in annual recurring revenue within five months. Investors include Begin Capital, Gapminder VC and Underline Ventures.
