Requirements
  • Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Java, Rust, or C++.
  • Knowledge of basic software development practices, including debugging, version control, and testing.
  • Ability to apply foundational mathematics or statistics concepts.
  • Eligibility for access to classified information at the Top Secret/SCI level or higher, with possible government background investigation requirements.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
  • For the intermediate professional level, at least 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Eligibility to obtain a government security clearance, participation in the ARL drug testing program, and compliance with electronic and physical monitoring requirements applicable to federal contractors.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and test software components for data-driven applications, including front-end and back-end functionality.
  • Use modern development tools, including artificial intelligence assistants, to write, test, and document code.
  • Work with engineers and scientists to implement algorithms, models, and data-processing pipelines.
  • Apply engineering fundamentals to solve technical problems and contribute to system design decisions.
  • Support the design and execution of experiments and testing activities, including data collection and analysis.
  • Assist in integrating software into prototype systems and participate in demonstrations to stakeholders.
  • Communicate results and ideas through documentation, presentations, and visualizations.
  • Collaborate in a team environment and contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and problem-solving efforts.
Desired Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.
  • Experience with data processing, modeling, or visualization.
  • Exposure to sensor systems, embedded systems, or robotics.
  • Experience with Agile development practices such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with common development tools such as Git and integrated development environments.
  • Basic DevOps skills, including Kubernetes, Docker, and continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Coursework or projects in machine learning, signal processing, or simulation.
