Manager – Shipping Logistics & Facilities

- Bachelors' degree in Facilities, Logistics, or related field
- 7-10 years of experience in shipping & receiving environment
- Familiarity with work order systems and shipping management systems
- IATA and DOT certified
- Knowledge of HTS codes, GHS, and Incoterms
- Experience in lab or biotech/pharmaceutical shipping and receiving required
- Knowledge of domestic and international logistic providers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, Biocair, World Courier, etc
- Ability to lift/push 50lbs on occasion
- Independently motivated and detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Respond quickly and accurately to client requests
- You will ensure shipments are processed in accordance with all local, State, and Federal compliance requirements for domestic and international shipments
- Process all required import/export documentation (commercial invoices, Filing EAS, TSCA, etc.) and track status to completion
- Maintain Tango's internal electronic shipping records database; including processing and tracking of shipments, arrangement of collections and communication, and follow up with internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with accounts payable to receive goods in accounting systems, resolve receiving discrepancies, and ensure suppliers are paid on time
- Manage shipping vendors and oversee spend to ensure appropriate funding for all shipping and receiving vendors and services
- Establish and maintain key service partner relationships with preferred vendors and ensure appropriate service levels are maintained
- Work with contracted shipping and receiving associates to ensure all mail and packages are received, delivered, and shipped appropriately
- Manage deliveries of dry ice, potent compounds, and other regulated shipments of lab materials
- Partner with 3rd party compound management firm and act as liaison ensuring shipments are received timely and efficiently
- Serve as subject matter expert and provide technically expertise to Tango on all matters shipping and logistics
- Ensure adequate supplies (boxes, packing materials, cold storage shippers, etc.) are on hand to prepare and complete shipments as needed
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of loading dock activities
