Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or similar; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in electronic engineering, with a focus on automotive electronic components, battery management systems, high-voltage devices and/or embedded electronics.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive engineering principles, including high voltage electrical systems, battery technology, and embedded electronics.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards like ISO 26262 or ASPICE is beneficial.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a customer- and quality-focused mindset.
  • Creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm for innovative mechanical and electronics solutions and assemblies for electric vehicles and Energy Storage Systems.
  • Preference for working in teams and excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • English; German is beneficial
Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of around 15 electronic engineers, providing guidance, support and technical expertise to ensure successful project execution.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment focused on continuous improvement and excellence in engineering practices.
  • Incentivize and enable the development of innovative electronic solutions, incorporating the latest advancements in chip development, semiconductor technologies, and design methodologies in close collaboration with the technical experts.
  • Provide career development support and conduct performance evaluations to ensure team members grow and succeed
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept generation to production launch, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Ensure optimal cross-functional collaboration between electronic, mechanical and software teams to integrate electronic components seamlessly into automotive and industrial systems.
  • Enable continuous improvement of the electronics development process and identify, manage and optimize the interface with other teams.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, software development and vehicle integration, to ensure seamless integration of electronic devices and components into automotive and industrial platforms.
  • Communicate project status, technical challenges, and risk assessments effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including management, engineering teams and external partners.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (already included as preferred under requirements)
  • ISO 26262 or ASPICE familiarity beneficial
  • German language beneficial
  • Experience in battery management systems and high voltage devices preferred
  • Experience in automotive electronics and embedded systems preferred
