  • A Master's or PhD degree is required.
  • Experience in simulation or medical education is required.
  • Proficiency using a computer and/or iPad is required.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft products is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction to students enrolled in the Master's degree program in HealthCare Simulation for assigned courses.
  • Report to the Chief of Virtual Medicine and/or the Master's degree Program Director.
  • Follow the course goals and objectives specified in the Master of Science in Medical/Health Care Simulation core curriculum.
  • Provide a new or updated course outline covering the course description, learning goals and outcomes, required readings, grading format or rubrics, and assignment or exam dates.
  • Provide lectures and presentations through a web-based format or virtual synchronous student contact as scheduled.
  • Provide 15 hours of instruction per credit hour.
  • Provide weekly assignments with due dates, late-assignment policies, and expectations for discussion and participation.
  • Create quizzes, exams, questions, and discussion forums that encourage discussion and analysis of readings and presentations.
  • Answer student questions promptly.
  • Provide guidance to students as needed.
  • Submit grades in a timely manner according to NYIT policy.
  • Complete required instructor training, such as FERPA and Blackboard training.
  • Attend specific meetings and/or faculty development programs at NYIT-COM when required.
