Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering at an ABET accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of Electrical design and project experience focused on process systems in an industrial setting.
  • 3+ years in a construction setting and experience in Petrochemical or Semiconductor industries is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IBC, IFC, and other codes and standards applicable to process system design and construction.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in state of Texas, or registered in another state with ability to transfer is a plus.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Permanent right to work in US and ability to work overtime / on non-scheduled days as required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee new electrical design and construction projects.
  • Ensure project code compliance, safety, and system integration with multiple construction disciplines.
  • Control project documentation, performance reporting, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage schedule, cost, and quality of contractor and subcontractor work through all phases of project delivery.
  • Support building planning and design for Electrical systems related to new and retrofit construction.
  • Maintain and report project information with internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Organize and schedule meetings and present project updates to management teams.
  • Facilitate team documentation and development of site facilities construction specifications and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate continuous improvement of Electrical installations and perform regular site field observation for implementation of best practices and development of new project work.
  • Review and report scope change requests related to cost and schedule.
  • Review, approve, monitor, and communicate all ongoing design and construction work.
  • Respond to and review countermeasures for safety and fab impacting incidents as they occur.
  • Proactively perform risk mitigating through all aspects of the project scope to improve safety and maintain code compliance.
  • Present and report project and team status to department management.
