Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field of engineering required.
  • Minimum of (5) years of industry related experience.
  • Mechanical equipment operation or ability to learn to maintain and repair material handling systems.
  • Knowledge of CAD design software including AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Dematic RCD and CET Designer Software (Maestro) strongly preferred.
  • Proven communications skills, flexibility, and willingness to work as part of a team of solution-oriented professionals.
  • Working under pressure, meeting inflexible deadlines, and maintaining composure.
  • Travels up to 20% to different customer or Dematic locations.
Responsibilities
  • Own and execute mechanical engineering scope for assigned modernization/retrofit projects.
  • Be capable of working independently, and able to perform research tasks to address unknowns as needed throughout the course of the project.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Controls Engineers, and Installation resources to properly design and order equipment using Dematic application tools and processes.
  • Lead technical design reviews with peers and subject matter experts.
  • Create and release engineering drawings such as equipment layouts, structure and guarding configurations, pneumatic design, egress and permitting sets etc…
  • Comfortable trouble-shooting equipment in the field.
  • Responsible for project performance including but not limited to: on-time delivery, budget, quality, and risk management.
