Requirements
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of the hotel’s features and services, room categories and layouts, room rates, special packages and promotions, daily accommodation counts, expected arrivals and departures, room availability, internal events, hotel policies and procedures, monthly forecasts, and budget lines.
  • Have an excellent level of English.
  • Have proficiency in a second language.
  • Have strong financial knowledge, including budget management, forecasting, and profit-and-loss statements.
  • Have management skills involving training, motivation, and team cohesion.
  • Have good computer skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to determine and effectively meet the needs of clients and employees.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of client and hotel information.
  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Be able to prioritize and organize workloads and delegate work.
  • Be able to direct staff performance and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Have graduated from a tourism school or hotel-management school.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in luxury hospitality, including at least 3 years in a management and leadership position.
  • Have international experience.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all accommodation services, including reception, concierge, bell services, valet, guest relations and butler services, housekeeping, and laundry.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and verify the quality of products and services for internal and external clients.
  • Supervise external cleaning services.
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments, including administrative and operational support services.
  • Own the quality and financial results of all departments under the role’s responsibility.
  • Conduct a daily hotel inspection and verify staff compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Review departmental profits, payroll expenses, room-related expenses, cost per occupied room, occupancy rate, and accommodation revenue.
  • Ensure effective communication of important information.
  • Manage and anticipate payroll requirements, prepare weekly schedules for employees and managers, and make necessary operational adjustments.
  • Hold weekly meetings with department heads and anticipate the organization of upcoming activities and events.
  • Monitor and manage customer reactions, communicate frequently with teams, and ensure client needs are fully satisfied.
  • Monitor and resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively.
  • Anticipate periods of high activity and overbooking, assist with relocating guests, and follow up according to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Conduct a daily room inspection to track equipment inventory.
  • Work closely with the technical department to ensure timely maintenance and repairs.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts for the housekeeping department.
  • Prepare the annual capital-expenditure report.
  • Monitor inventories of linens, bathrobes, uniforms, and other equipment.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to all employees.
  • Conduct quarterly manager evaluations, provide constructive feedback, manage disciplinary situations, and support team development.
  • Organize strategic planning meetings for each service and for the department as a whole.
  • Follow up on dispute reports, complaints, and other issues.
  • Assist with quality audits and conduct daily quality meetings.
  • Define, plan, and direct operations to achieve gross operating profit, competitive RevPAR, client satisfaction, LQA standards, and employee-engagement objectives.
  • Collaborate in the hotel’s annual budgeting process and comply with FRS guidelines.
  • Manage the hotel budget and ensure expenditures comply with it and with FRS guidelines.
  • Follow FRS expenditure-approval procedures and obtain approval from the General Manager and Financial Director where required.
  • Personally welcome VIP clients and delegations.
  • Support preparation of the General Manager’s weekly reports for the Vice President of Operations and the owner.
  • Represent the Raffles brand with an exemplary image toward clients, partners, and employees.
  • Be present in the hotel and take an active interest in employee well-being.
  • Lead by example by respecting and instilling Raffles brand values and service culture.

  • Knowledge of the Paris market is a plus.
