Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Sales Management, Sales Training, Learning and Development, or Adult Education.
- Demonstrated success selling home improvement products.
- Knowledge of residential construction, preferably involving windows, kitchens, or bathrooms.
- Proficiency in modern sales techniques and strategies.
- High proficiency in adult education and sales concepts.
- High proficiency in coaching with both high support and high challenge in a learning environment.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to assess and educate people from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels.
- Strong technical acumen with software and apps, specifically the Microsoft 365 Suite and Canva.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Own onboarding for every new Outside Sales representative, including onboarding paperwork, class scheduling, sales kits, hotel arrangements, and logins across the sales technology stack.
- Communicate class time, date, and location to new hires and answer their questions before they arrive.
- Partner with IT to ensure every iPad and piece of training technology is ready and working at the start of class.
- Partner with HR to ensure onboarding paperwork and new-hire information are completed promptly.
- Facilitate the three-week Outside Sales initial training using the company's Pillars of Training and IHR Sales System.
- Print and prepare Learner's Guides for each class.
- Assess each trainee and determine who passes, collaborating with the Sales team so each graduate can run leads effectively.
- Build Initial Training Reports for Sales Leadership for each graduating representative.
- Keep the Outside Sales leadership team current throughout the class on each new hire's progress.
- Assist in facilitating and overseeing the 12-week new-representative development program, including field ride-along appointments to coach representatives live.
- Facilitate cross-training for current representatives on additional product lines as needed.
- Help Learning and Enablement leadership create new training content and update existing content.
- Facilitate bootcamps and small-group training across company offices as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in the home remodeling industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Education, or a related field.
