- Understanding of the fundamental principles of accounting and bookkeeping.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Problem-solving skills in dealing with deadlines.
- Good computer learning skills.
- Ability to work some overtime from December through April.
- A valid driver's license.
- Must be California-based.
- Assist the Account Manager by performing day-to-day bookkeeping functions for clients.
- Input accounts payable and accounts receivable information.
- Assist in preparing check runs using AgilLink.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations and trace discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors.
- Assist with clients' payroll.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end duties, including compilation of financials, sales tax returns, and payroll tax returns.
- Assist in preparing 1099s and W-2s for clients.
- Assist the Account Manager with special projects.
- Experience with AgilLink.
- At least one year of bookkeeping experience.
- At least one year of experience with AgilLink and/or QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
