Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Basic mathematics skills are required, including calculating percentages and performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to read, write, communicate, and follow verbal and written instructions in English is required.
  • Ability to work second and third shifts if required is required.
  • Ability to work Saturdays and/or Sundays if required is required.
  • Ability to stand for more than one hour at a time is required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity are required to proofread documents and operate a computer.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, airborne products, chemicals, physical strain, and noise is required.
  • Ability to handle or work with laminates and units containing a Class II controlled substance is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform quality assurance tasks, including sampling, inspections, and tests, to ensure manufactured products comply with internal standard operating procedures, safety initiatives, company policies, and Food and Drug Administration and Drug Enforcement Administration regulations.
  • Document all work performed accurately and thoroughly.
  • Inform management of problems, failures, and deviations from established internal and regulatory standards.
  • Inspect and approve rooms, production lines, and equipment before use by manufacturing and research and development personnel.
  • Approve components for in-process operations.
  • Monitor manufacturing areas for compliance with internal standard operating procedures, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Food and Drug Administration and Drug Enforcement Administration regulations.
  • Document all work activity in batch records, forms, and logs.
  • Sample in-process items and finished products; perform required inspections and testing; and process and distribute samples to different departments.
  • Review records for current Good Manufacturing Practices compliance, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Apply disposition stickers to components and in-process materials.
  • Issue quality assurance alerts when questionable components, in-process materials, or products are identified during production or storage.
  • Perform swab and RODAC plate sampling as required.
  • Perform transactions in JD Edwards when required.
