Requirements
  • Insurance agent’s license in the province of employment (or ability to complete the required courses and obtain the license).
  • Experience in the Insurance and/or Construction & Development industries.
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Business Administration.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective working in a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for building and developing new accounts while maintaining an existing portfolio of accounts in adherence with policies, guidelines, procedures, and operating process of the assigned geographical region.
  • Evaluate builder requests and recommend security requirements, terms and conditions.
  • Monitor builder and project through to completion, identifying any changes in risk exposure and recommending action to mitigate risk.
  • Maintain a current understanding of the acts and regulations regarding home warranty insurance in the geographical area of responsibility.
  • Your approach to client care will be proven through the positive relationships you establish with builder clients.
  • All other duties as reasonably assigned.
