Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on fraud risk management
  • Deep expertise in the travel fraud domain, with extensive knowledge of common and creative techniques used by fraudsters to exploit e-commerce systems and processes, and travel marketplaces is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in building automated fraud detection and prevention strategies that scale, online fraud prevention experience a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in the travel industry/travel marketplace tech company/OTA, or eCommerce strongly preferred
  • Solid analytical skills, including the ability to distill complex data into insights via BI tools
  • Ability to scale through process improvements and automation with a strong sense to detail and structure
  • Familiarity with latest fraud trends, techniques, and technologies in travel and eCommerce
Responsibilities
  • Work on multiple travel fraud detection and prevention strategies across the customer lifecycle to eliminate risks and fraudulent chargebacks and identify policy or process improvement opportunities
  • Ensure the readiness of our Fraud prevention framework is aligned with expansion ambitions of the business
  • Be passionate about simplifying travel fraud processes and enhancing fraud capabilities with a tech-forward mindset
  • Bring your developed judgment skills and experience from leading travel fraud risk strategies
  • Define fraud procedures to rapidly and comprehensively investigate fraudulent activity
  • Provide ongoing analysis of fraud vulnerabilities, control weaknesses, and gaps to mitigate and remediate significant fraud issues, trends, and loss events via self-self BI platforms or SQL
  • Identify 3rd party tools and services that will complement/augment our current controls
  • Work with engineering and data science to develop travel fraud prevention and data detection models using transaction monitoring, behavioral analytics, repayment, and external data that effectively balance risk vs. travel customer friction
  • Understand the importance of effective communication and consistently deliver quality results with speed
