Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field
- SPHR/PHR preferred
- Thorough knowledge of labor legislation, including California
- 3-5 years HR business partner experience required
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred
- Broad working knowledge of all aspects of HR functions and business processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Data Analytics, Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Strong planning and execution skills
- Solid cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Strong writing, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Effective time management, organization and prioritization skills
- Innovative - ability to see new opportunities
- Bilingual is Spanish a plus
Responsibilities
- Formulates partnerships across the business function(s) and HR to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance, in many states, including California. Partners with the legal department as needed
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
