A Technician 2 is expected to manufacture a limited number of products in accordance with supplied Standard Operating Procedures, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, in a clean, controlled environment.   This includes working under microscopes and general catheter manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

Laboratory Bench Work (100%)

• Assemble small medical devices manually with hand tools, often under microscopes
• Process, clean and package medical devices per Standard Operating Procedures as directed by the production planner
• Ensure adherence to GMP guidelines for medical manufacturing
• Assist in general organization of the laboratory, inventory and manufacturing areas
• Prepare and submit samples to the appropriate QC department

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 2+ years’ experience in small parts assembly
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Experience working under microscopes
• Demonstrated hands-on dexterity in working with small/intricate parts
• Demonstrated ability to read and follow basic mechanical drawings and manufacturing instructions
• Experience with various measuring tools such as ruler, calipers, micrometers, thickness gages and depth gages in both metric and imperial units
• Experience working in a clean room and/or controlled manufacturing area in a medical device company
