Requirements
  • Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Must be willing to participate in the company’s background check process.
  • Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must be willing to obtain a tuberculosis (TB) test annually.
  • Must be able to get down on the floor and stand up many times, lift up to 50 pounds, and run or move quickly when required for client interaction and safety.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks precisely.
  • Must be able to follow and carry out detailed instructions.
  • Must have sufficient technology proficiency to record data on a mobile device and navigate digital applications.
  • Must have written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have cultural competency and the ability to remain flexible and open-minded.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct client care in one-to-one and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
  • Follow behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols in each client's individualized treatment plan developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified assistant behavior analyst.
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training according to each client's individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
  • Complete documentation on time and according to established procedures.
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers about client progress as instructed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified assistant behavior analyst.
  • Use safe and appropriate procedures when working with clients and report critical incidents and safety concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
  • Assist the Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified assistant behavior analyst with preparing client materials, behavior reduction assessments, and skill acquisition activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience as a Behavioral Technician, or experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities.
  • Experience as a Teacher's Aide, tutor, Certified Nursing Assistant, caregiver, or home health aide.
