Requirements
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
  • Prior proven experience in a sports/fashion focused retail environment
  • Ability to perform basic math skills; ability to accurately count change and balance bank
  • Must be able to work and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time; must be able to handle, feel and reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and operate a Brannock device
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours including late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and management
  • Follow and encourage your team to follow all safety policies and procedures, looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations and boost sales by providing an energetic and positive environment for teammates and customers
  • Create an emotional connection with every customer by being a passionate and enthusiastic Legends / MLB Brand ambassador
  • Complete sales transactions efficiently and accurately while adhering to cash protection procedures; welcome all available opportunities to increase individual and store performance
  • Use selling expertise to maximize opportunities at the POS to create add-on sales and build customer loyalty
  • Knowledge of store and individual targets and actively work to meet or exceed these by using all available resources
  • Proactively seek and incorporate basic core and seasonal product knowledge into a unique service approach within assigned store zones
  • Collaborate productively and respectfully with team members to meet or exceed store goals
  • Maintain an appealing, easy-to-shop environment for customers by consistently executing visual merchandising and housekeeping standards
  • Handles returns and exchanges. Making sure to use these transactions as an opportunity to reinforce and enhance the customer experience
  • Ensures the product offer in the store is made available to customers by assisting with deliveries and replenishing the sales floor
  • Use retail and customer expertise to maximize sales opportunities by prioritizing merchandise flow to the sales floor
  • Understand and act on procedures required for reporting low stock levels, inventory discrepancies and customer product requests to management as needed
  • Minimize loss by actively maintaining sales floor awareness while serving customers
  • Comply with store policies and procedures to maintain a safe shopping and working environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
Desired Qualifications
  • College degree preferred
  • Previous experience in sports/fashion retail is preferred
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling may be inferred
  • Experience in visual merchandising or store maintenance may be inferred
