Requirements
- 3-5 years of proven work experience as a B2B Sales Development Rep or equivalent in the technology industry selling to the logistics or manufacturing sector
- A degree in Business, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline would be preferred
- Strong understanding of the logistics or manufacturing verticals, such as supply chain management and transportation, logistics operations and analytics, and capacity planning
- Hands-on experience with sales operations, prospecting, meeting setting, and driving sales of technology and associated professional services
- Knowledge of the Sales process from lead generation to close ideally in a SaaS, Cloud, or similar environment
- Experience within a Sales lead role would be advantageous
- Understanding of the Sales process and adoption
- Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
- 10% Travel may be required on occasion
Responsibilities
- Assist with inbound and outbound demand generation campaigns and programs within the logistics or manufacturing sector to convert Marketing Qualified Leads to customer meetings
- Suggest and implement improvements in building sales pipeline, outbound prospecting strategy and execution to drive 1st meetings for the field sales organization
- Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements
- Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement
- Liaise with Sales, Finance, Marketing and Product Development to and increase sales
- Manage customer relationships within Salesforce
- Promote operational excellence through pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and using data to recognize trends and improve business across all areas
- Support sales representatives with quoting and other tasks as needed
- Learn from sales representatives and take on introductory sales account management tasks, with the potential to own future accounts
- Collaborate and support the go-to-market function to grow the logistics or manufacturing business
