Responsibilities
  • Calculating accurate daily sales estimates for the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday and The i Paper, based on regular data received from the supply chain and using available business intelligence tools
  • Gathering market intelligence on competitors, estimating sales figures and ensuring this information is captured and maintained correctly and effectively for reporting
  • Preparing and circulating regular reports and analysis to the business on the above, updating regular commentary and key points
  • Tracking and measuring different aspects of newspaper sales performance to agreed methodologies to support tactical initiatives and requirements
  • Tracking and measuring different aspects of print subscriber performance to support the team’s understanding of agreed KPIs
  • Work closely with the Head of Circulation Performance to analyse and interpret sales performance, to support or contribute to discussions with Circulation, Editorial and Marketing on key metrics and underlying trends
  • Investigate and address data anomalies and help implement solutions to correct going forward
  • Provide reporting and statistics on in-paper competition entries, including winning entries where required
  • Prepare and co-ordinate detailed subscription voucher information to agreed deadlines and ensure accurate communication to external trade partners
  • Undertake regular validation of voucher redemption data to ensure anomalies are actioned or raised appropriately
  • Work closely with the team to support new commercial and tactical initiatives on print subscriptions, through the provision of relevant product and subscriber information
