Requirements
  • Associate degree in Computer-Aided Design, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in an EPC firm or equivalent construction industry setting.
  • Ability to travel to construction sites and regional offices as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all VDC functions within the region.
  • Collaborate with regional and project leadership to develop VDC strategies across the full project lifecycle—from proposals and planning to execution and quality assurance.
  • Lead VDC resource planning and scheduling for regional projects.
  • Assist in the development of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and lead client interactions with support from project leadership and VDC Project Coordinators.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to regional VDC staff.
  • Coordinate training, implementation, and support of VDC tools and processes for regional teams.
  • Troubleshoot VDC tools and workflows and ensure alignment with CRB and client standards.
  • Evaluate BIM modeling capabilities of internal teams, trade partners, and external design collaborators.
  • Strengthen VDC capabilities of strategic partners, vendors, and subconsultants.
  • Collaborate with corporate and regional leadership on strategic initiatives and standardization efforts.
  • Work with the Director of VDC Digital Content to guide content strategy and development.
  • Support the Director of Digital Delivery in testing, standardizing, and implementing emerging technologies to enhance digital delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of digital delivery roadmaps and initiatives within Project Delivery Services.
  • Represent CRB in VDC-related webinars and conferences, sharing insights and identifying opportunities for innovation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other design authoring platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of contractual delivery methods for design and construction.
  • Experience with 3D collaboration tools (e.g., BIM360/ACC, Assemble, clash tracking, laser scanning, iConstruct, model-based point layout).
  • Familiarity with VDC productivity tools (e.g., Revit add-ins, Dynamo, Bluebeam).
  • Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of industry-standard VDC documentation (e.g., BEP, BIMForum).
  • VDC certifications preferred (e.g., Revit Certified Professional, CM-BIM).
  • Proven ability to write standards and guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of building design and construction sequencing.
  • Experience facilitating spatial planning and developing “Spatial Allocation Zones” for MEP systems.
  • Ability to generate clash reports and guide resolution strategies.
  • Experience leading design/model coordination meetings across disciplines and trade partners.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
