Requirements
  • Associate degree in Facilities Management or related discipline
  • In lieu of Associate Degree, certifications in a trades related field is a plus with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience performing, executing, planning, and scheduling electrical, mechanical, HVAC and building envelope maintenance tasks
  • Project management and estimating
  • Continuous improvement, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, use of KPI's for decision making and corrective actions
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
Responsibilities
  • Determines, develops and schedules work plans based upon site-wide field trips, priority, available work force, and other criteria
  • Reviews corrective, preventive, predictive work for planning and scheduling in their assigned craft areas and provides time estimates and priorities to ensure backlog determination
  • Acquiring and maintaining in depth knowledge of appropriate lab safety and regulatory rules, procedures, and policies to craft job plans appropriately
  • Responsibility for managing the maintenance planning process including: all safety requirements, developing job hazard analysis and safe plans of action, planning of work orders, managing back log, and scheduling work
  • Continuous improvement, lead root cause analysis, troubleshooting, develop and utilize metrics and KPI's for decision making and corrective actions
  • Interfaces with customers, building managers, and division technical personnel when necessary and assists in develops and providing the daily, weekly, monthly, outage and long-term plans and schedules to building managers and the department management team
  • Coordinates parts and material acquisitions for planned work between the Store Room personnel and/or vendors concerning parts needs, status, tracking and follow-up
  • Project management, technical design and/or redesign support
  • Utilizes (FAMIS) Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and scheduling activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position
