ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE
As a Manufacturing Manager at Ample, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Battery Module Production Team and be responsible for leading, growing, and motivating our assembly team. We will count on you to ensure optimal manufacturing performance by implementing smart and efficient new processes as we scale up. You will collaborate closely with supply chain, engineering, and inventory teams to improve our product and resolve any organizational challenges.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support a team of assembly technicians to meet both short-term and long term goals. Provide guidance, lead trainings, and give feedback to team members
- Resolve Production Challenges: Resolve assembly line roadblocks to ensure a smooth and fast production process by working with the supply chain, quality, and engineering teams as needed.
- Issue Resolution: Report vendor quality issues and work with supply chain and quality teams to proactively resolve. Communicate any build delays program management team, track and resolve causes for delays.
- Product Improvement: Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering teams to improve product and process from a DFA standpoint to enable production scale
- Manufacturing Process Improvement: Work closely with operations and inventory teams to keep flow of material smooth and assembly area organized, apply continuous improvement mindset to all areas of your job
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 5+ years in a production/manufacturing environment, with experience in leading teams to hit challenging milestones
- Strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills, familiarity with drawings and CAD models a plus
- A self-starter approach to removing roadblocks for your team and enabling them to learn how to unblock themselves
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use MS Office- Excel, Project, Word
