Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in advertising sales and management, with a heavy focus on the Retail vertical inclusive of American Fashion, Beauty, Retail, Luxury.
  • Deep knowledge of digital media, brand first selling, enterprise strategic sales tactics, online marketing technology and its competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A strong track record of accurate forecasting and revenue growth.
  • Well established senior relationships within the Style vertical, both at the agency and client level.
  • A deep understanding of the industry's key opportunities and challenges.
  • Willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
  • Lead team of digital media client partners to drive campaign performance and act as primary liaison to senior leadership.
  • Formulate and execute an advertising strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives.
  • Manage senior-level relationships with advertising partners and develop a thorough understanding of their business challenges, needs and expectations.
  • Attract and train new talent to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain a strong knowledge of Vox Media’s advertising products and solutions (media and content).
  • Ensure achievement of goals related to successful campaign completion, product quality, on-time delivery, and client satisfaction.
  • Work with the team to identify opportunities for optimization and/or growth of existing accounts to facilitate stronger relationships and increase revenue.
  • Work closely with senior management to manage internal revenue expectations and forecasting.

Vox Media produces content across television, streaming, podcasts, and articles and offers technology and publishing tools for creators and marketers. It monetizes by attracting a large audience through content, then earning revenue from advertising, distribution partnerships, and licensing fees; its Chorus platform helps teams organize, publish, and optimize content and is licensed to other media businesses. When Your Local Public Radio Station Advertises Fossil Fuels

Or follow us on Google NewsMy local public radio station, Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB), which broadcasts throughout Oregon and southwest Washington, has been running advertisements for a fossil gas utility named Northwest Natural over the past year. OPB has aired ads about the gas utility’s appliance store where users can go and buy fossil fuel-powered, climate crisis-causing machines that also create significant indoor and outdoor pollution problems (see below). Imagine the cognitive dissonance of citizens in my state when the largest county health authority in Oregon warns residents about the respiratory risks of burning gas in the home, and the statewide public radio station advertises appliances which do just that.Why Would Public Radio Take Money From Fossil Fuels?OPB issued a statement as to why it accepts advertising funds from a fossil fuel company, saying “We work with a variety of sponsors in our communities, unless they are engaged in illegal activity or make claims that are untrue, cannot be proven or that violate our policies.”While natural gas isn’t illegal yet in Oregon, there are over 130 cities, regions, and states that are banning its use, and cities and towns in Oregon are trying to do the same. Air quality districts in California are prohibiting the fuel because furnaces, water heaters, and stoves emit more NOx (aka smog) than fossil gas power plants!Fossil gas companies also often make claims that are untrue. OPB’s own reporting shows how Northwest Natural has used the same tactics as cigarette companies in trying to cast doubt on the health and climate problems caused by burning their fuel.Advertising fossil fuels on public radio is problematic because it legitimizes in the public mind the very substances causing our climate crisis
