Requirements
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Hands-on testing experience in thermal, fluid dynamics, or mechanical testing
  • Experience in designing and testing electronics thermal management packaging
  • Experience with COMSOL Multiphysics or other FEA software
  • CAD experience (e.g. Solidworks or Inventor)
  • Knowledge of semiconductor & MEMS microfabrication
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing processes and materials
  • Detailed knowledge of heat transfer
Responsibilities
  • Design, CAD, and coordinate fabrication & assembly of prototype components and systems
  • Setup and operate test setups for thermal and fluid dynamics characterization
  • 3D print test samples and prototypes
  • Test mechanical and materials properties
  • Coordinate outside vendors for special tests
  • Summarize key findings in written documents
  • Work effectively in a team or independently
