Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience in condition monitoring of turbomachines and rotating equipment, including online and periodic offline monitoring of heavy-duty compressors and turbines.
  • Expertise in reliability engineering, technical specialist support, maintenance, troubleshooting, condition and performance monitoring, advanced diagnostics, and reliability and performance enhancement in large oil and gas, LNG, and petrochemical plants.
  • ISO 18436 CAT-3 certification and experience with System 1 Evo, operation and maintenance support, asset condition and performance monitoring, vibration analysis, fault finding, availability calculations, equipment-health surveillance, corrective actions, bad-actor elimination, and reliability and performance enhancement implementation.
  • Technical authority experience in SAFE chart analysis, cause-and-effect analysis, risk analysis using RAM matrices, PFD and P&ID review, HAZOP analysis, FEA analysis, alarm and trip logic, and startup, shutdown, control, and trip sequences for major rotating equipment, systems, and auxiliaries.
  • Proficiency in rotor dynamics and stability analysis, rotor integrity testing, installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, and approval.
  • Experience developing FAT and SAT procedures and acceptance criteria, and complying with international standards, local regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in root cause failure analysis, MTBF, FME(C)A, criticality analysis, RCM, review of existing maintenance practices, major-equipment trip analysis, and reliability and performance improvement recommendations.
  • Experience with online monitoring, offline monitoring, bearing analysis, maintenance, basic RCFA, oil analysis, rotor dynamics, modal analysis, MTBF, reliability, ultrasound, bump testing, dynamic balancing, asset optimization, troubleshooting, laser alignment, basic NDT testing, and thermography.
Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain reliable day-to-day operations while minimizing equipment outages.
  • Develop and manage rotating preventive-maintenance programs, evaluate equipment performance, and recommend improvements and new technologies.
  • Review and update critical spare-parts lists and perform cataloguing activities.
  • Provide technical support for dismantling, diagnosing, assembling, testing, repairing, and overhauling rotating equipment, and prepare related technical reports.
  • Support field installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment.
  • Investigate repair jobs to identify failure root causes and corrective repair actions, and share lessons learned with stakeholders.
  • Provide technical input for purchasing specifications and evaluate technical proposals.
  • Provide lifecycle technical support to operations teams by analyzing rotating-equipment performance, operating conditions, and boundaries to ensure reliable and safe operation.
  • Perform reliability studies and prepare management-of-change proposals to improve system effectiveness and reliability.
  • Manage vibration-data analysis using Prognost, GE System 1, and MHM to investigate and troubleshoot rotating-equipment problems.
  • Build and manage a rotating-equipment database from a condition-monitoring perspective.
  • Periodically monitor machinery-vibration levels and diagnose faults.
  • Monitor field parameters for lubrication and seal systems, including seal leaks, low lubricant levels, abnormal sounds, oil leaks, and process leaks, to assess overall rotating-asset condition.
  • Collaborate with customer reliability specialists and central planners to prioritize repairs for identified equipment deficiencies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly machine-condition flash reports.
  • Report major changes in equipment condition and generate remedial-action reports.
  • Assist with site acceptance-test runs and commissioning of new rotating equipment.
  • Conduct lubricating-oil analysis for critical rotating equipment and generate recommendation reports.
  • Troubleshoot bad-actor equipment at the plant.
  • Troubleshoot and monitor wet mechanical seals and dry gas seal performance.

Hillhouse invests in Quest Global to accelerate engineering growth

Quest Global, a global outsourced engineering services provider, has secured a minority investment from Hillhouse Investment through a combination of primary capital infusion and share purchases from existing stakeholders. The transaction involves funds managed by Hillhouse Investment Management. The Singapore-based company, which employs over 21,500 people across 93 global delivery centres in 18 countries, will use the capital to advance strategic priorities and enhance its engineering capabilities for major original equipment manufacturers worldwide. Quest Global specialises in aerospace, automotive, energy and semiconductor sectors. CEO Ajit Prabhu said the investment validates the company's differentiated value proposition and growth strategy. AROBS acquires Quest Global Romania in all-stock deal with one-year lock-up

Romanian tech group AROBS is acquiring Quest Global Romania from Craiova in an all-stock transaction, marking the company's first acquisition paid entirely through share issuance. The newly issued shares will be subject to a one-year lock-up period. Quest Global Romania, headquartered in Craiova, employs approximately 110 specialists and provides software development, testing, embedded solutions and IT consulting services across sectors including semiconductors, healthcare and automotive. The company is part of Singapore-based Quest Global, which operates in 18 countries with over 22,000 employees. The acquisition strengthens AROBS's engineering capabilities and international presence. Quest Global Romania's management will continue under Ana-Maria Vasilescu's leadership. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of the year.
