Job Description:
The Sr. Business Application Analyst will report to the Manager, Business Application Management. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new application features, evaluate feature requests for feasibility, and manage the feature request backlog. They will also respond to and manage service requests related to business applications, ensuring timely resolution by coordinating with technology teams.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
CUSTOMER
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new application features.
Evaluate feature requests for feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
Prioritize and manage the feature request backlog, ensuring timely delivery.
Manage and respond to service requests related to business applications.
Coordinate with technology teams to ensure timely resolution of service requests.
Maintain detailed records of service requests and resolutions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for users experiencing issues with business applications.
Diagnose and troubleshoot application issues, providing effective solutions.
Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams and ensure follow-through to resolution.
Develop and maintain reports to monitor application performance and usage.
Analyze performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with development teams to implement performance enhancements.
SHAREHOLDER
Act as a decision maker on projects—responsible for getting input from the appropriate SMEs in order to make decisions
Accountable for adhering to the EPMO project management methodology
Ensure adherence to the Data Governance Framework
Ensure adherence to guidelines and regulatory requirements under Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and the Office of the Chief Data Officer
Demonstrated ability to build relationships within the team and with key stakeholders
Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments
Continuously enhance knowledge of business domains and their products/services
Support the development of business cases including benefits identification
Support and/or implement solutions that mitigate risk and maximizes the availability of service, efficiency and effectiveness

Expert level professional role requiring in-depth knowledge / expertise in own domain / field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas

Expert knowledge of applications supported by the team including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules.
Expert knowledge of bank's PDLC methodology, business testing and project management
Expert knowledge and an understanding of business supported and broader organization
Expert analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems requiring analysis to solve complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, including consultation with multiple stakeholder
Uses advanced methods to contribute to new solutions and recommend standards against which others will operate
Leads projects of moderately to complex risks and resource requirements; may lead end –to-end processes of functional programs
Coordinates and prioritizes multiple initiatives
Subject matter expert and consults with clients and/or project teams and may be involved in assessments of potential projects
Works independently as the senior lead and guides other within area of expertise.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
5+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated understanding of cloud computing principles and technologies.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Storage, Azure Compute, and Azure Networking.
Basic knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and applications, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics.
Experience in working with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technology solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in using data visualization tools and techniques to present insights and recommendations.
