Requirements
- Engineering evaluations and maintenance tracking experience for United States Navy surface ships and submarines.
- 10 years of shipboard hull, mechanical, and electrical experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with naval engineering tracking metrics, technical writing, and system validation procedures.
- Ability to execute physical shipboard surveys or technical documentation audits in accordance with assigned division protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret naval technical documentation, including NSIs, NSTMs, drawings, and other technical documentation.
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to attend Technical Authority Training within three months of hire.
- Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements.
- Ability to use clear and concise oral and written communications.
- Must possess and maintain an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to comply with all safety and environmental requirements.
- Resume and candidacy are subject to customer approval, acceptance, and completion of the required background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical technical assistance for the United States Navy.
- Provide clerical support and record keeping.
- Perform financial management and contract oversight.
- Assist with audits and inspections.
- Provide Human Resources services.
- Support DFS adjudication.
- Provide contract management oversight.
- Support Critical Work Certification and Work Complete Certification.
- Support Engineering Service Requests.
- Provide fleet technical assistance.
- Perform assessments, including Integrated Class Maintenance Plans, Total Ship Readiness Assessments, Type Commander material inspections, and Board of Inspection and Survey assessments.
- Create Material Assessment Findings and report them to the cognizant Assessment Director after completing Total Ship Readiness Assessment tasks.
