Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Civil P.E. license preferred);
  • 4–8 years’ experience in site development, entitlement, and environmental permitting (municipal, state, federal);
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and HYDROCAD (or equivalent design tools) proficiency;
  • Ability to communicate design concepts and lead meetings between clients, engineers, regulatory officials, and consultants;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while being highly motivated, detailed, and organized.
Responsibilities
  • Site review, zoning/bylaws review and outlining entitlement path.
  • Managing survey, environmental and engineering sub-consultants as well as working with staff engineers.
  • Working with the state agencies, towns, and other stakeholders, as well as presenting to planning/zoning boards, state, and federal agencies.
  • Assisting in the continued development of standard details, notes, and specifications.
  • Reviewing design drawings prepared by in-house or external designers.
