Job Description
The Hospital Assistant Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for managing the personnel and processes of the MUHA facilities they are assigned in the performance of routine and non-routine maintenance functions. This position is assigned to second and/or third shifts and will oversee on-site maintenance personnel. This includes but not limited to day to day repairs of lighting, plumbing, wall, floor and ceiling services, building system infrastructure such as electrical, mechanical, medical systems and fire and life safety systems.The successful candidate will ensure a safe and functional environment for staff, clinicians, and health care professionals to perform MUSC-Health’s core business of patient care. The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to coordinate services with outside vendors or other MUHA or MUSC entities to accomplish required tasks as assigned by the Building Managers or Executive Director of Facilities. This position will be responsible for maintaining compliance to regulatory entities on issues within their job scope.This position reports will report directly to the Zone Managers and the Executive Director of Facilities and will be expected to support Zone East, Zone West, and Zone North primarily during second and/or third shift. May be considered Essential Personnel in a disaster situation.
Additional Job Description
An Associate Degree and four years maintenance management experience in a hospital, or diversified building maintenance or construction, or any combination of education, training, and experience.
