Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading a distributed team of Continuous Improvement Specialists consistently meet ISO and QMS requirements. He or she will work closely with manufacturing partners to implement and maintain systems to measure and improve product quality, reduce cost and improve customer satisfaction. The Quality Manager is also responsible for overseeing and auditing processes related to product inspection, test, training, supplier qualification, new product introduction, warranty, and repair as well as corrective and preventative action.

Responsibilities:

• Insure manufacturers and suppliers adhere to Quality Systems based on ISO 9001
• Implement, measure and report KPIs within the manufacturing environment
• Lead KPI review and drive discussion in Quarterly Business Reviews
• Work with leadership to track performance against KPI’s.
• Conduct periodic audits of manufacturing processes and procedures
• Review and manage corrective and preventative actions
• Establish and maintain a system of document and revision control
• Manage and report on quality improvements
• Manage supplier quality and qualification
• Conduct internal audits and reviews, analyzing data and documentation.
• Assists in the development of systematic approaches for assuring high quality services.
• Identifies the interface of key activities within and between the functions of the organization.
• Participate in customer-facing activities, where appropriate, to ensure process and contract compliance, as well as assess and report program risk
• Develop and deliver technical quality awareness training to the delivery team.
• Foster, inspire, and motivate team members to focus on continual improvement of products, processes and systems.
• In areas within control, makes continual improvement of products, processes and systems. 
• Review all QA related customer facing documents prior to client acceptance
• Provide quality reports to key management officials as requested.
• Provide proper training and documentation to team members

Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 
• Project Management experience required
• ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor (or similar) certification required
• Candidate must have 4-6 years Quality Management or Leadership experience
• Candidate must have experience in an ISO 9001 and/or CMMI Level 3 organization. Experience in leading that organization from a non-certified or lesser certification is a plus.
• Experience in the Manufacturing or Transportation/Safety industry is a plus.
• Experience with QMS, manufacturing processes, product inspections, vendor qualifications and audits
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance

• Active Security Clearance
• Prior experience managing and project reporting for 2-3 projects to include project burn, revenue, performance, and staffing.
• Prior business development experience, including: identifying new opportunities (within the existing project and agency); responding to market surveys and sources sought notices; customer engagement and opportunity capture; and proposal writing/management.
