IT Project Coordinator @ Cytokinetics

Cytokinetics is a late-stage, specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing first-in-class muscle activators and next-in-class muscle inhibitors as potential treatments for debilitating diseases in which cardiac muscle performance is compromised. As a leader in muscle biology and the mechanics of muscle performance, the company is developing small molecule drug candidates specifically engineered to impact myocardial muscle function and contractility.

IT at Cytokinetics continues to implement or enhance several business systems supporting all functional business areas. The scope of this role involves project coordination activities for IT projects as well as support of various project activities such as capture of business requirements, authoring/collaboration of test plans, execution of test items, and ultimately helping to achieve project success through all phases.

This role is in Cytokinetics’ South San Francisco headquarters reporting to the Executive Director, IT.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule various project meetings (e.g., kick-offs, weekly status meetings, etc.)
Support SDLC processes for IT projects by participating in key activities (e.g., requirements gathering, testing) by creating and maintaining critical artifacts (e.g., system requirements, trace matrices, test plans)
Update project plans as well as create and distribute project status reports
Submit Legal documents (e.g., MSAs, SOWs) into Cytokinetics’ internal Legal Document Management system and monitor review and approval and then route for for digital signatures
Create project purchase requisitions, track project budget actuals as well as highlighting areas of savings/overages for quarterly budget updates
Create and distribute project status reports while ensuring project team feedback
Work closely with the IT Management team and project managers to provide general project support
Work with the IT Management team and other project managers on a consistent set of tools such as plans and status reports
Create and maintain appropriate project and communication plans as part of ensuring a successful completion of any IT project
Create and maintain end-user documentation/training materials and communication to users as needed

Qualifications:

Must have two plus years of project coordination skills
Must have the ability to put together and actively manage a detailed project schedule on SmartSheets/Microsoft Project
Must have the ability to work independently while at the same time keeping appropriate stakeholders updated on the solution architecture, project timelines/schedule and obtaining approval on key project decisions
Proven ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical project team members who are both internal to the company and from external partners
Ability to highlight potential project risks among various project stakeholders to escalate for a beneficial resolution for Cytokinetics
Experience in the life sciences industry a plus

Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the service line and location where this position may be filled.

Salary Pay Range

$36—$44 USD
