  • Prior mid/high volume design experience (preference in Automotive or Aerospace)
  • Proficient in CAD design and working knowledge of PLM systems - CATIA and 3DExperience preferred, not required
  • Extensive experience in part design, material selection, and manufacturing processes
  • GD&T
  • Ability to own projects and sub-systems as an independent self-starter
  • Strong technical documentation and communication of technical information
  • Advance prototype sensor clusters into well-engineered, multi-modal sensor products
  • Performs necessary DFM/DFA for the transition to high volume
  • Design for prototype and mass-production including machined, injection-molded, formed, die-casted, and extruded parts
  • Perform design analysis including stress, strain, thermal, modal, and tolerance
  • Create 2-D drawings and documentation with GD&T and SPC fundamentals
  • Interact and communicate with OEM partners
  • Develop products for both cars and class 8 trucks which comply to industry standards
  • Collaborate closely with EE and harness teams on sensor and sensor pod products

  • Basic knowledge of autonomy sensors (camera, lidar, radar)
  • Automotive structure design experience (stampings, castings, weldments)
  • PCBA design and packaging experience
  • CATIA proficiency
