Requirements
  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including building and operating production systems.
  • Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models in applied or production contexts.
  • Strong proficiency in a modern frontend framework, ideally React with TypeScript.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Node.js and NestJS and/or Python with FastAPI or Django.
  • Strong understanding of API design, distributed systems, and service-oriented architectures.
  • Proven experience deploying, operating, and supporting systems in cloud environments.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery teams and collaborating across disciplines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences.
  • Sound engineering judgment and a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical design and delivery of complex, artificial-intelligence-enabled features or services.
  • Design, build, and evolve full-stack applications using modern frontend and backend frameworks.
  • Build and maintain robust, high-performance APIs using NestJS and Node.js or FastAPI and Python.
  • Integrate Large Language Model capabilities into production systems, selecting appropriate patterns, tools, and architectures.
  • Guide the evolution of proofs of concept into production-ready, scalable solutions within enterprise constraints.
  • Own technical solutions end-to-end, including design, implementation, deployment, and operational readiness.
  • Make sound engineering decisions that balance security, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and testability.
  • Write production code, review code, and contribute to testing and observability.
  • Champion strong engineering practices, including code quality, testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery, and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for reuse and contribute to shared components, patterns, and standards.
  • Collaborate closely with product, architecture, security, and platform teams in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers through design discussions and example.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices within the team or domain.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience designing or implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems in applied or production contexts.
  • Experience evaluating and selecting generative artificial intelligence frameworks or tools, such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or CrewAI, based on the problem context.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence agents, orchestration patterns, or workflow-based artificial intelligence systems, including understanding when these approaches are appropriate.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, evaluation techniques, and guardrails for large language model-based systems.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures, continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
  • Understanding of security-driven design and how to address common application or platform vulnerabilities in enterprise systems.

Marsh beats Q1 estimates with $7.6B revenue, $3.29 EPS as organic growth hits 5%

Marsh reported Q1 revenue of $7.6 billion, up 7.6% year-over-year, beating the consensus estimate of $7.38 billion by 2.88%. Earnings per share came in at $3.29, compared to $3.06 in the prior-year quarter, surpassing the consensus estimate of $3.21 by 2.46%. Key metrics showed mixed performance against analyst expectations. Consolidated organic revenue growth of 5% exceeded the 3.5% estimate, whilst consulting organic growth of 5% topped the 4.4% forecast. However, Guy Carpenter's organic growth of 2% fell short of the 4.2% estimate. Geographically, Marsh's EMEA division generated $1.21 billion in revenue, up 14.1% year-over-year and beating estimates. Mercer consulting revenue reached $1.66 billion, an 11% increase that surpassed the $1.58 billion consensus.
