Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Experience building and developing for a COTS HIL platform (NI, dSPACE, etc)
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
  • Experience developing models of physical systems based on requirements.
  • Solid understanding of communication standards and protocols (RS-422/485, CAN/CAN-FD, ARINC-429, Ethernet, TCP/IP, USB etc…)
  • Experience prototyping Graphical User Interfaces based on user feedback.
  • Solid understanding of standard software development tools: Continuous integration - TeamCity / Jenkins / Artifactory, Version control - SVN / Git / Bitbucket, Issue tracking - Jira / Zendesk / MantisBT
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the development of Archer’s high fidelity aircraft simulators supporting validation and verification activities, handling quality evaluations, human factor evaluations and test pilot training.
  • Work with internal groups and suppliers to integrate, instrument and maintain configuration of aircraft hardware and simulation models in a real-time, integrated hardware-in-the-loop environment.
  • Build simulation models of systems and integrate them into the overall framework.
  • Design and build graphical user interfaces to control the real-time simulation environment.
  • Assist in the execution of test plans and test automation.

Archer is developing electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for urban air mobility networks, with a focus on innovating in powertrain technologies to enable the commercialization of eVTOL aircraft.
