6+ years overall with a mix of software development, Site Reliability, DevOps, or platform automation
Experience with building and implementing CI/CD pipelines, Software development lifecycles and other technologies
Self motivated, determined and ready to work with top talent across the world on complex projects in a high energy environment with dynamic job responsibilities and priorities
Strong understanding of modern cloud-native environments (AWS preferred), containerization and microservice technologies
Experience with building/deploying/scaling/managing distributed systems on AWS at an enterprise level
Strong analytical skills to debug, troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
Fluent in one or more programming languages and familiarity with one or more scripting languages

Responsibilities

Build and use software tools to support CI/CD, containerization, workflows, software quality, performance and other software development practices
Utilize Agile principles and practices to deliver pragmatic solutions
Collaborate with key stakeholders across Engineering, Architecture and Product teams to improve our software development lifecycle and experience for our customers
Create transparency in workflows for development teams by automating the building and deploying of applications and software services
Continuously improve speed of development, software quality and performance of application features
Leverage cloud technologies, containerization and automation to improve performance, reliability, quality and costs

Desired Qualifications

AWS Certifications
Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Service Mesh, etc
Thorough knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
Experience in a high-volume or critical production environment
Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
Expert in data structures, algorithms and complex analysis
Basic knowledge of PHP, Python, and bash scripting languages

DevOps Engineering roles and responsibilities are crucial to the continuous improvement of our product development teams at Entrata. The DevOps Engineer is pivotal in driving improvements in our software development processes to ensure rapid development cycles and that high quality applications are delivered to our production platforms. DevOps teams proactively build and implement services and tools to make development teams more efficient in delivering features to our customers. A DevOps Engineer uses and develops software tools to manage systems, solve problems and automate operation tasks. The DevOps Engineering skills span the software stack from code creation to deployment into production. A deep knowledge of the software development life-cycle is required to improve performance and quality of our applications. In this role, the DevOps engineer will implement DevOps best practices and foster a DevOps culture.

DevOps Engineering is key to the success of Entrata’s Research and Development (R&D) department and reports to our Manager of DevOps. This position is primarily responsible for implementing CI/CD strategies, containerization, automated workflows and other methods to optimize speed of development without sacrificing performance and quality. The DevOps Engineer will help drive a DevOps mentality for detecting and responding to issues before and in production.

Responsibilities will include
