Requirements
  • A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in architectural design.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience designing large-scale multifamily projects.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • A valid architect license in one of the 50 states; the company will provide financial support for obtaining reciprocity in Washington.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience using Revit.
  • Strong proficiency in relevant architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Enscape or similar tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards related to multifamily design.
  • Understanding of sustainable design principles and commitment to environmentally responsible projects.
  • Ability to lead project design with minimal oversight.
  • Fluent English reading, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Responsibilities
  • Address zoning code issues and ensure compliance and clarity on ambiguous areas.
  • Contribute creative ideas and details to the team.
  • Prepare and present design concepts to the project team.
  • Produce construction documents using Revit and building information modeling.
  • Manage project drawings and ensure timely completion.
  • Analyze and summarize zoning codes for the team.
  • Coordinate site plans and review grading and drainage compliance.
  • Participate in meetings and hearings and oversee project lifecycles.
  • Lead assigned projects and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Assist with site observations and document contract conformance.
  • Review scopes of work and proposals for consultants.
  • Provide weekly progress reports and address project issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and serve as the primary contact.
  • Monitor consultant work, ensure Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, and review drawing accuracy.
  • Assist in establishing new design standards and best practices.
  • Manage schedules and mentor junior team members.
