Summary:

The Portfolio Risk Specialist is responsible for portfolio control related activities for Huntington Distribution Finance (HDF). Accountable for monitoring, analyzing and reporting key portfolio metrics, this role will also be responsible for identifying, presenting, and making recommendations based on quantifiable and qualitative portfolio trends discovered during the analysis.  In addition, this position will support collateral verification, audits, and bank deposit review activities.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors, analyzes, and communicates all quantitative data related to credit quality, criticized assets, and net collateral trends to the HDF and Huntington bank leadership group.
• Problem solves, present solutions, and implements strategies to executive management for all negative trending related portfolio control activities.
• Updates the forecasting platform for all performance related risk rating downgrades completed by portfolio control.
• Manages the administrative processes to ensure that HDF is compliant on all required non-pass credits are completed quarterly.
• Uses authorized system administrator access to complete management approved interest waivers, system charge-offs, and disposition codes.
• Ensures compliance by developing, monitoring, and updating all HDF portfolio control policies, processes. and procedures.
• Collaborates with the HDF Inventory Engine team to develop and implement new reports and dashboards that will assist the portfolio control team with managing and mitigating risk.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years' experience in portfolio control, operations and/or credit experience in the finance industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills
• Strong technology and system skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Tableau
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Inventory finance or floor planning industry expertise
• Proven experience in process improvement and problem-solving initiatives as they relate to productivity and customer satisfaction

Compensation Range:

$63,000 - $124,000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
